Las denuncias por esta modalidad delictiva se equiparan casi con las del robo a personas. Las amenazas apuntan a todos los frentes.
Las extorsiones al estilo ‘vacuna’, son más graves de lo que se cree. En los últimos cinco meses, los casos se han disparado en medio de la falta de identificación de la mayoría de autores, cómplices y encubridores de los hechos, que apuntan a todos los niveles y del que pueden aprovecharse diferentes agrupaciones delictivas.
De un promedio de 800 denuncias semanales que recibe una de las unidades de la Fiscalía Provincial del Guayas, en Guayaquil, el 50 % corresponde a ‘vacunas’, según lo confirmó el fiscal César Peña, que se dedica a investigar autores, cómplices y encubridores no identificados.
“Si hablamos de mayo, teníamos un porcentaje de un 5% al 10 % del global general que se recibe de denuncias; a la fecha, octubre de 2023, estamos recibiendo casi a la par: 50 y 50, entre denuncias de extorsión con denuncias comunes como robo, robo agravado, hurto, abuso de confianza y violación a la propiedad privada, que son los casos comunes que más se investigan en la Unidad”, revela el agente fiscal, al sostener que las cifras están muy elevadas, considerando que eso es solo en su oficina.
Lo más alarmante, según el historial de las denuncias presentadas en los últimos meses, es que las amenazas son cada vez más violentas, y en todos los niveles: educativo, profesional, empresarial, comercial y sectores de la ciudad que incluye desde un barrio popular, a ciudadelas y urbanizaciones.
Según los registros, los delincuentes ya no solo atentan contra las personas, sino que proceden a lanzar artefactos explosivos, y con advertencias de descuartizar a las víctimas o a sus familiares. Incluso se atreven a enviar fotos de sus posibles víctimas.
Otro dato importante en este tipo de delitos, y que la policía también lo ha advertido, es que hasta cierto porcentaje los hechos violentos son autoría de organizaciones criminales; otros, se toman los nombres de esas organizaciones delictivas, para cometer extorsiones, amenazas, secuestros.
También se ha podido visualizar que las víctimas, pueden caer en manos de otros grupos delictivos al mismo tiempo, como el caso del robo de vehículos, cuyos propietarios suben en redes sociales la foto del carro sustraído, lo que es aprovechado por otras organizaciones que, bajo amenazas, llaman para exigir dinero. “No son parte del núcleo social, ni familiar ni del entorno laboral de la víctima, pero están a la caza de la información que aparece en las redes sociales, es otra modalidad que se ha visualizado”, cuenta el fiscal.
