En la provincia de Pastaza existirían 17 centros de cuidado infantil, ocho en el sector urbano y nueve en el sector rural, las que cuentan con financiamiento del Ministerio de Inclusión Económica y Social (MIES), mientras que la operatividad está bajo la responsabilidad del Gobierno provincial de Pastaza, en calidad de cooperante.
André Granda, prefecto de Pastaza, en una entrevista en Nina Radio de Puyo, el pasado 17 de octubre, no disimuló su molestia por ciertas versiones emitidas hace días atrás por Susana Coloma, directora del MIES en Pastaza, refiriéndose a que se había «suspendido» el servicio y la atención en los centros de atención a los niños y que la prefectura habría faltado a los compromisos adquiridos.
“Hable con el ministro del MIES, Esteban Bernal, dijo que desconocía lo ocurrido, me pidió disculpas y anticipó que pedirá información sobre el tema a la directora”, dijo Granda. Dando a conocer además que en el MIES existen serias falencias en la parte administrativa de los centros y otros, además que algunos funcionarios desconocían los procesos de contratación.
El prefecto Granda, tras pedir disculpas a los padres de familia por ciertos desacuerdos entre instituciones, aseguró que a partir del 24 de octubre la atención a los niños en los diversos centros se normalizará luego de que las educadoras que se acogieron a las vacaciones que por ley les asiste, retornen a sus puestos de trabajo.
Se informó que vienen agilitando los trámites para garantizar la atención hasta finales del año 2023 y durante todo el próximo año, dejando atrás los retrasos que se realizaban antes. “Espero que la directora del MIES no haya emitido ciertas versiones por revancha o pugna política, ya que antes fue candidata”, indicó.
